Carnival and Valentine's Day in Torcello go hand in hand in this leap year 2024. Could it be a coincidence? So I propose this poem of mine published in the Anthology "CHERCHEZ LA FEMME" - Section. Lust - Carnevale e San Valentino vanno a braccetto in quest'anno bisestile 2024. Sarà una coincidenza? Così ripropongo questa mia poesia pubblicata nell'Antologia "CHERCHEZ LA FEMME" - Sez. Ecco Torcello coi sogni ripiegati
Torcello, un sogno sospeso
Torcello strizza al sole
Poesia pubblicata sull'Antologia: "CHERCHEZ LA FEMME" - Sez. Lussuria - #Torcello (VENICE’s Island) Here is Torcello with its dreams folded like those flowers on the capitals, where I looked for love; I sucked the nectar from those flowers like a bee, suspended over the expanse lagoon green. I loved the wind that bent the grass and the sigh of the leaves on the porch where drunk we hugged each other. Torcello, a suspended dream to the old bell tower that resonates for days satisfied with the heat, slippery like mud, like our bodies sweaty and clinging like ivy around to the pillars of life, in ecstatic joy of the senses. Torcello rings timeless hours and days have gone by among lovers' sighs in the shadow of the temple, in the shade of the roots of a time gone by of exoduses and repopulations, lands snatched from the sea by wayfaring refugees. Torcello squeezes in the sun Its eyes dazzled from the body of water salt marsh, inverted reflection of heaven now that the tidal wave warns of the ringing of loneliness in narrow channels, that the grass closes to the silence of the hour.
